So it turns out Elon Musk has been secretly nurturing a semi that he’s very proud to soon show us all. We don’t know what a Tesla semi truck will entail but we have a lot of reservations over just how many roles automation can realistically take over. Truck drivers do a lot more than people think. We also report back on our research into the electric car tuning scene with mixed results. Either way, how does lots more power with zero drawbacks sound to you?
SO. MUCH. NEWS. Lots has happened recently and theres some stuff worth taking note of if you’re in the UK. Speeding fines are going to be wage based as of next week. As much as 175% if you’re particularly stupid. There’s an update on Dieselgate and there’s no getting away from discussing the new Challenger SRT Demon and Cherokee Trackhawk – a 1500bhp garage with just two family production cars.
There’s some corrections too regarding the Nissan Pike Cars and 3.5ton truck brand confusion. We’re trying our best. Keep in mind we tend to make mistakes faster than we can correct the previous ones.
We’ve had a huge backlog of cars we’ve spotted around The Potteries over the past month and thought we’d better give them all a mention. We’ve seen all sorts from little Nissan Figaros to the possibly mammoth Tesla Model-X. Chris saw something that had him borderline braying like a horse while Andrew was snuck up on by something very unexpected. We’ve been taking photos where we can too. They’re in this vid but you can also look up “thosemeninsheds” on instagram for more.
We’re back, finally, and now with video. We tried to avoid recording an episode due to SUPERSTITIONS but got chased down by lady luck anyways and had to record this three times over three weeks before we had anything worth uploading.
Anyway, for the past, we’re asking, whatever happened to the surfer 4×4? You know, cool, funky, small offroaders that seemed so cuddly and fun they may as well have come with a lead and a wagging tail. We guess they were a product of the nineties and we miss them dearly. In this part, we go through a list of the classics and nostalgically squirt our loving juices all over them. Enjoy the advertising we’ve found from the time, especially the one for the Sportrak – we hope the actors featured have recovered from their whiplash.
In our first ever episode of Barn Tune, us men in sheds decide to drag Andrew’s Wagon-R a little further from heaven and a little closer to hell. We cover all you need to know about lowering the Suzuki Wagon-R RR Version-V (Aka the Wagon All The Rs) and also give a short lecture on the science behind coil springs, ie; why does cutting springs make them stiffer?
Here we go with our first two camera setup. In fact, this should be the first time you’ve seen our hairy chinned little fizogs as they spout the very nonsense you’ve become accustomed to. We’re sorry the exterior is all a little blown out. We only have a cheap little action cam and an old phone, plus it was a bright, yet cold, day.
It took two bloody days to get this uploaded and processed by YouTube so you better like it! Here we are anyway, nattering away while cruising (or should I say queuing?) along the rainy streets of Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Hanley, Burslem, Porthill, Trentham, and Meir.
Do you like listening to people talking into your ears while images move in front of your face? You crazy kid! Did your mum give you too much Sunny-D or something? Well, how about this, you can watch our Episode V podcast while seemingly joining us from within Andrew’s new-to-him Wagon-R RR.
